When, Where, Why?
Kind of self explanatory isn't it?

Is church really at the library?Crazy isn't it? Besides the fact we love a great book, there are a couple of reasons we meet at the library. One, this isn't your grandma's library. Not that there's anything wrong with granny but you won't find that traditional "sshh-ing" coming from the librarian with a bun on her head. No, the Central Library really is a cultural epicenter emerging from the heart of downtown Indy. We meet weekly in their state of the art auditorium, and the kids have access to some of the most creative space downtown Indy has to offer. Two, we get to bypass the argument of "going" to church vs actually "being" the church. We go to a library. We are the church. Seriously. We can show you signage. And finally, while the majority of our community actually lives within a short radius of downtown, the Central Library is easily accessible from any part of the city. So no matter where you spend the 167, the 1 is easy to get to with ample parking and beautiful green spaces in downtown Indy. This program is not sponsored by the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. Why another church? We’re much more than just an hour on Sunday. Sure you’ll find our 1-hour gatherings full of space to worship, inspiring artistic moments, perspective-challenging biblical teaching, and environments your kids will love. But all of that is geared toward encouraging you to personally draw near to God and interact with the city of Indianapolis in the other 167 hours in the week. The 167 is where life is lived, community is built and the world is loved by a people transformed through a growing intimacy with Jesus Christ. Welcome to City Community Church. Inspired in the 1 to live in the 167. |
